Handmade with specialist tools to create a fruit bowl with gradually curving modern sides, a sturdy feel, and a beaded rim. This fruit bowl is relatively light in the hand and silky smooth to the touch with a matt finish. Finished with a mineral oil to darken the wood, this helps highlight the beauty of the grain and to improve durability. This large bowl measures 21.5cm wide, 8.5cm tall, and 7.5cm deep.
 
English beech, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Beech is a stunning light brown coloured wood with hints of orange. With a straight, closed grain, giving it a strong surface, beech is often used for kitchen utensils and cabinetry - giving it a permanent place in my workshop.
