Hand turned to create a large bowl with a traditional curvy shape, this fruit bowl is moderately heavy in the hand and lightly textured to the touch. Featuring a naturally cracked center and stunning grain - a result of using a piece of wood from an outer part of the tree. Finished with a food safe hard wax oil to highlight the beauty of the grain and to improve durability. This large bowl measures 33cm wide and 11cm tall. Perfect for use as a fruit bowl or as home decor.
 
English ash, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Ash is a stunning wood that can come in various different colours, the most commonly used being a nice pale yellow white. Ash typically has a straight grain, but this can vary wildly between different pieces, making it perfect for creating large vessels and bowls - giving it a permanent place in my workshop.
