Hand turned to create an extra large bowl with a gradually sloping live edge and an extremely thin profile. This bowl is light in the hand relative to its size and lightly textured to the touch. Finished with a food safe hard wax oil to highlight the beauty of the sycamore grain and to improve durability. This extra large vessel measures 31cm wide, 12cm tall, and 10cm deep. Perfect for use as a centrepiece or as home decor.
 
English sycamore, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Sycamore is a beautiful pale, smooth white wood with a strong closed grain, often used for kitchen utensils and furniture making due to its durability and stunning characteristics - making it one of my favourite timbers to work with.
