Hand turned to create an extra large wooden fruit bowl with a shallow shape with modern edges, this bowl is light in the hand relative to its size  and silky smooth to the touch. Featuring a beaded rim and finished with a hard wax oil with a bright white dye to keep the wood its natural pale colour, and to highlight the beauty of the grain and to improve durability. This large bowl measures 32cm wide, 7cm tall, and 5cm deep. Perfect for use as a fruit bowl or as home decor.
 
English sycamore, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Sycamore is a beautiful pale, smooth white wood with a strong closed grain, often used for kitchen utensils and furniture making due to its durability and stunning characteristics - making it one of my favourite timbers to work with.
