This handmade apple wood bowl is hand turned to create a unique, traditional shape with a distinctive naturally oval form. Made from locally sourced apple wood and processed entirely in my workshop, this wooden bowl combines traditional styling with the natural character of the wood.

The bowl is relatively light in the hand and lightly textured to the touch. Its unusual warped oval shape is created by turning the apple wood whilst wet and allowing it to dry and move naturally, giving the finished piece an organic, rustic appearance. The natural grain and small natural void adds further character, with warm orange and reddish tones brought to life by the finish.

Finished with 100% tung oil to deepen the natural colour, highlight the interesting grain and help protect the surface against everyday wear, scratches and stains.

This wooden fruit bowl measures 23cm at its widest point, 9.5cm tall, and 9cm deep.
