Hand turned to create a traditionally shaped, highly warped bowl with several natural cracks and stitched repairs using waxed cotton thread. This bowl is relatively light in the hand and silky smooth to the touch, with an unusually warped shape - a result of turning the wood thin whilst wet and allowing it to dry and warp, giving it a natural rustic look. Finished with 100% tung oil to darken and emphasize the orange colour of the wood, highlight the beauty of the grain, and to improve durability. This bowl measures 24cm at its widest point, 9.5cm tall, and 8cm deep. Perfect for use as a decorative fruit bowl or as home decor. Made from apple sourced locally, and processed fully by myself.
