Hand turned from the part of the prized heartwood and the outer part of the tree to create a sharp contrast and a uniquely traditional shaped bowl. This bowl is light in the hand and super silky smooth to the touch, with an unusually warped shape - a result of turning the wood thin whilst wet and allowing it to dry and warp, giving it a naturally oval rustic look. Finished with 100% tung oil to darken the wood to further create a contrast, highlight the beauty of the grain, and to improve durability. This bowl measures 23cm at its widest point, 8.5cm tall, and 7cm deep. Perfect for use as a fruit bowl or as home decor. Made from apple wood sourced locally, and processed fully by myself.
