English hornbeam, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Hornbeam is a stunning pale yellow wood that is often highlighted by unique black markings throughout the wood. Hornbeam is an exceptionally hard and heavy wood giving it a strong surface, making it perfect for unique items such as musical instruments, detailed work, and bowls.
 
Hand turned to create a wooden fruit bowl with modern curves with a natural void inclusion, and finished with a wax blend to preserve the pale colour and to highlight the beauty of the grain. This bowl measures 27.5cm wide, 4.5cm tall, and 3.5cm deep.
