Handmade with specialist tools to create a shallow wood bowl with curvy modern sides and a thin profile. This wooden bowl is very light in the hand and silky smooth to the touch. Finished with a food safe hard wax oil to highlight the beauty of the grain and to improve durability. This large wood bowl measures 33cm wide, 5cm tall, and 3.5cm deep.
 
Lime wood is a pale orange hardwood with subtle growth rings. Despite being listed under the hardwood category, lime is actually very soft and lightweight making it suitable for turning delicately. Once a finish has been applied it helps to reveal a vibrant orange colour and a pale heartwood contrast. Whilst harder to come by, lime wood is something I will always be on the look out for.
