English sycamore, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Sycamore is a beautiful pale, smooth white wood with a strong closed grain, often used for kitchen utensils and furniture making due to its durability and stunning characteristics - making it one of my favourite timbers to work with.
 
Hand turned to create a shallow bowl with curvy modern sides and a silky smooth interior. Finished with a food safe hard wax oil to highlight the beauty of the grain. This large bowl measures 32cm wide, 4.5cm tall, and 3.5cm deep.
