Hand turned with specialist tools to create a small wooden vessel designed for adding decor around your home. It has a large live edge around the rim of the bowl, a thin, lightweight feel in the hand, and stitched cotton repairs. Finished with a food safe hard wax oil to highlight the beauty of the grain and to improve durability. This bowl measures 19cm wide, 18.5cm tall, and 17cm deep.
 
English ash, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Ash is a stunning wood that can come in various different colours, the most commonly used being a nice pale yellow white. Ash typically has a straight grain, but this can vary wildly between different pieces, making it perfect for creating large vessels and bowls - giving it a permanent place in my workshop.
