English sycamore, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Sycamore is a beautiful pale, smooth white wood with a strong closed grain, often used for kitchen utensils and furniture making due to its durability and stunning characteristics - making it one of my favourite timbers to work with.
 
Hand turned to create a unique contemporary shape with blackened edges and a small center bowl. Stained with saturated wood dyes to create a stunning blend of blues and greens. Perfect for decorating the home. This bowl measures 34cm wide, 3cm tall, and 2cm deep.
