Hand turned from prized apple wood to create a small palm sized hollow form vessel, with a relatively heavy feel in the hand and a silky smooth feel on the exterior and a rough textured feeling interior. Featuring a tight grain and a rich dark orange colour, paired with pale yellow contrasting sections. This vessel has a very striking look, with a lightly warped shape and a wavy edge. Finished with 100% tung oil to create a vibrant orange, to highlight the beauty of the grain, and to nourish the wood. This small hollow form vessel measures 12cm wide, 6cm at its tallest point, and 6cm deep, with a 4.5cm wide wavy rim. Perfect for use as rustic decor around the home.

Apple wood is a highly prized hardwood, valued for its rich colour, fine grain, and exceptional durability. Freshly worked, it displays warm golden and pinkish-brown tones that gradually deepen over time into a rich honey brown. Its tight even grain creates a smooth finish, making it the perfect choice for wooden bowls and spoons.
