A unique decorative wooden fruit bowl, handmade with specialist tools from strong English ash to create a shallow fruit bowl with curvy modern sides and a thin even edge. This wooden bowl is light in the hand relative to its size and beautifully silky smooth to the touch. Finished with 100% pure tung oil to darken the natural rich colour whilst highlighting the beauty of the natural markings over the woodgrain and improving durability. This fruit bowl measures 19cm wide, just over 3.5cm tall, and 3cm deep.

English ash, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Ash is a stunning wood that can come in various different colours, the most commonly used being a nice pale yellow white. Ash typically has a straight grain, but this can vary wildly between different pieces, making it perfect for creating large vessels and bowls - giving it a permanent place in my workshop.
