English hornbeam, locally sourced from well managed sustainable woodlands found in a small village in Devon. Hornbeam is a stunning pale yellow wood that is often highlighted by unique black markings throughout the wood. Hornbeam is an exceptionally hard and heavy wood giving it a strong surface, making it perfect for unique items such as musical instruments, detailed work, and bowls.
 
Hand turned to create straight a modern wooden bowl sides with a gently curved interior, and finished with a danish oil blend to preserve the pale colour and to highlight the beauty of the grain. This bowl measures 25cm wide, 4.5cm tall, and 3.5cm deep.
