Hand turned to create a bowl with a tall modern shape, and a unique warp. This bowl is relatively heavy in the hand and silky smooth to the touch, with an unusually warped shape - a result of turning the wood whilst wet and allowing it to dry and warp, giving it a natural rustic look. Finished with 100% tung oil to darken the wood and bring out its natural orange/reddish colour, highlight the interesting grain, and to improve durability against scratches and stains. This bowl measures 18.5cm at its widest point, 8cm tall, and 7cm deep. Perfect for use as a small fruit bowl, a key bowl, or as rustic home decor. Made from apple wood sourced locally, and processed fully in my workshop.

Apple wood is a highly prized hardwood, valued for its rich colour, fine grain, and exceptional durability. Freshly worked, it displays warm golden and pinkish-brown tones that gradually deepen over time into a rich honey brown. Its tight even grain creates a smooth finish, making it the perfect choice for wooden bowls and spoons.
